I was so excited to photograph little “O” yesterday at 9 days old! This little guy was born on New Year’s Eve and he is oh, so cute. The bonus is that he’s my nephew

Congratulations to my brother and his wife on their first child. He is a perfect little treasure. Here are a few of my favorites from the session.

Today I want to share a couple images from baby Adrian’s 5-month session! This is one happy little guy. And it’s no wonder because his parents are really sweet too! Adrian is the winner of the Springfield Macaroni Kid photo contest and you can totally see why. Just look at his eyes; aren’t they gorgeous?

Today I get to share photos of the cutest little guy, baby Colin, at only 13 days old. Isn’t he sweet? Luckily we had one day in the last week between snow-storms to let me get over to photograph and play with him. I so enjoyed spending the time with him and his parents.

This morning I photographed the cutest little guy. He was so sweet. Being 14 months old, he was so curious about everything and especially found my collection of French Literature to be the most interesting. I think his favorite was Balzac. A tough one to start out on, but hey maybe we have baby Einstein on our hands.

Thanks so much to his parents for asking me to capture this time in his life. You guys were great!

One-Year Portraits ~ Western Massachusetts

About one year ago, another mom at my son’s preschool was pregnant with her third daughter. I invited her to call me when the baby was born so we could get some cool newborn images. Without going into too much detail of a very long, story, the mom ended up, still pregnant, in a coma which lasted a couple of months. All of us at the school were in shock and so worried about the family. Then one day out of the blue I received a phone call from this mom saying that they were home from the hospital and that she wanted to come in for a session with the new baby. When she came in and told me about the ordeal she and her family had gone through, it truly touched my heart. At this point, the baby was having some medical issues and they were very concerned about her. We did the session, see here, and I said to her, “Just imagine how different she will be when we do her one-year photo.” I’m not sure this mom could see beyond the next day after what she had gone through, but we stayed in touch and I’m happy to report that baby Molly is doing really well.

Well, this morning I got to photograph her for her one-year portrait. She was such a joy to photograph; so alert and smiley. Her mom even told me that she recently took her first steps. For all this beautiful child has gone through, she is nothing short of a miracle and I feel so honored they’ve asked me to be a part of their amazing family.

Client Spotlight ~ Sweet Baby Girl

This morning I had the absolute pleasure of photographing this beautiful baby girl. I met her dad and very pregnant mom at a mutual friend’s wedding last summer and I couldn’t believe it when she called to tell me her baby girl was now 9 months old! At the risk of repeating an overused phrase, time really does fly! This little beauty is such a happy person. Even when she was getting cranky, towards the end of our session, she was curious and wanted to check everything out. Her parents better watch out because when she gets a full crawl on, she will be everywhere!

All children are adorable, but every once and a while you come across a little one with SO much personality, you can hardly stand it. That’s what happened when I recently photographed this little guy. Seriously, I think he is either going to be a performer or a pro hockey player. Maybe both! His parents better watch out. They are in for years of entertainment – he kept me smiling and laughing the whole time I was there.

I had such a great time photographing at Cradle this past Saturday. There are many images that I love from the day, but I must share this one. I really enjoy photographing babies. They don’t move as quickly as two-year olds and they are so easy to interact with. As you can see, this little baby is so cute! I really enjoyed working on this image and making it extra special.

I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful little girl this morning. As you can see from her photo, she’s pretty serious. She spent about 10 minutes checking me out before she was comfortable with me. This reminds me of how my daughter has been very cautious around strangers every since she was a baby. I guess at first I thought it was a phase that she would grow out of it. But, finally, I realized that this is just her and it was ok for her to be cautious. This little girl was so sweet and as I was walking out the door, her daddy came into the room and she flashed the biggest smile at him. It was so sweet. If only I hadn’t packed my camera away …

This baby has the most beautiful nursery so I wanted to be sure to capture part of it. We got lots of amazing images of both him and his big sister. Here is just one – it may be my favorite.
